Ferno expands customer service hours

 

The Ferno Customer Service Department has expanded its hours to better respond to our customers' needs.  Live customer service representatives are now available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In addition, Ferno now also offers live operator assistance during the overnight hours. In the event of an emergency, the operator can contact the appropriate Ferno representative or, if it is a non-urgent call, take your information and forward to the appropriate department for response the next business day. Awards and achievements

 

Florida: Kalynn Cresse has joined Miami-Dade Fire Rescue as the organization’s first female Air Rescue Pilot. In order to prepare for her role on the elite crew that pilots the Bell 412EP MDFR Air Rescue helicopter, Cresse completed a rigorous combination of flight training, firefighter certification, and EMT certification.

 

Florida: The Key West Fire Department has broken ground for its new fire station on Simonton Street. The agency hopes to finish construction on the long-awaited Fire Station #2 within one year.

 

Grant funding available

 

Ohio: If you’re looking for help funding the purchase of powered patient handling equipment (including the POWERFlexx+cot and the EZ-Glide stair chair with Powertraxx), don’t forget about the state’s Safety Intervention Grant$ Program. Last year the state significantly increased funding for this program, which matches every dollar the employer spends with three dollars of grant funding.
